Ceremony

We arrive approximately one hour in advance of the wedding, setup and begin shooting the exterior scenery, establishing the location. Then, we start videotaping the guests arriving, mingling and being seated. These shots are taken from a distance to assure the best possible 'candid' video. Next, we will videotape members of the wedding party, family, and of course, the bride and groom (as they become available). Just prior to the ceremony, we will place a small wireless lavalier mic on the groom to capture the vows. Probably the biggest difference of the Wedding Novella versus our documentary style weddings, are the various angles we are able to shoot. In the documentary style packages, whether we use one camera or two cameras, they have their assigned positions and do not move. The Wedding Novella on the other hand, allows us to move around the ceremony area, similar to how a photographer does. Non-denominational and outdoor wedding venues allow us the most freedom to move around. Church ceremonies require prior permission from the priest or church coordinator.
Reception

At the reception we will capture the traditional events, i.e., The Grand Entrance, First Dance, Toasts, Cake Cutting, etc. We take the best shots from these events and use them in the Wedding Novella. Because the Novella is edited in a montage fashion, we are able to show the different angles seamlessly in the final product. This is what adds to the illusion of having multiple cameras capturing the best video during your wedding. People refer to this as the "magic of video". The final look of the Wedding Novella is a stylish, emotional and dream-like motion picture set to music in slow motion. The completed DVD is approximately 12 to 15 minutes long. The Wedding Novella is a 4 hour package. One hour is applied to the ceremony and 3 hours to the reception for the best coverage.
